American Airlines was founded in the year 1926 but began operations only in 1936. It has its head office in Fort Worth in Texas. American Airlines Baggage Policy
The carrier has defined a list of items that cannot be carried on board. At the same time, it defines the free allowance and what all baggage needs to be paid for.
It allows 1 personal item and 1 carry-on baggage per passenger. There are no weight limits given for the cabin baggage but there are size restrictions that must be observed. The cabin bag shall not be more than 22 x 14 x 9 inches and the personal item shall not be more than 18 x 14 x 8 inches in size. Passengers are not allowed more than 100ml of liquid in cabin bags. And, these need to be put in a separate transparent plastic bag which shall not be more than 1-liter capacity.
AA check-in baggage policy allows passengers who have confirmed AA reservations to bring up to 10 check-in bags for domestic, transatlantic, and transpacific flights. This limit is restricted to 5 check-in bags in case the travel involves Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, South America, and Brazil.
