Rim Trail: Visitor Center to the Village
It is worthwhile to walk the 2.5 miles of the Grand Canyon Rim Trail between the Visitor Center and the Village, especially if you are travelling with children.

The route is largely level the entire time, follows the canyon’s rim, and offers breathtaking vistas. Snowballs can also be thrown at each other during the winter.

Enjoy the scenery as you stroll at your own pace and pick up new information from the interpretive trails, museums, and ranger talks.
If you don’t want to travel too far, Yavapai Point, which is just a little distance to the west of Mather Point, has some of the best views of the Grand Canyon.
